No html because quotation marks are a pain to do on a JP laptop. But yeah. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME OF THIS?!

(I realise I've been procrastinating buying the PS2 version so bad, but that's a combination of my general dislike for anything that isn't on a handheld console, and the fact that I just cbf buying it. But god. I'd buy this so fast if it came out in English)

ETA: wait, nevermind, I seem to recall being shown something. Oops. :___:

Fake fur is currently all the rage in Japan, apparently. Which meant that when I went shoe shopping (whilst holding a 5kg laptop case, OWWWW) the majority of what I saw were ankle boots topped with...fake fur.

Stores I did see which made me go :D
-> BtSSB, Innocent World

Good god I hate Japanese keyboards.

So, er, like, currently in Japan atm? (which essentially means no email for various reasons - one of the more pertinent reasons being that for some reason I can't log in. So, er, don't spam my email :'D ?)

Couple of random notes:
- school toilets are squat toilets :X
- JP keyboards confuse me
- mobile phones? Ipods? Apparently students aren't meant to use them. At all. Like, I haven't seen a single student with headphones in ears O________o
- ^same goes for laptops. Which meant I got a lot of "EEEEEH??????" when I took my laptop out. ;______;

ETA: "irasshaimase" gets a helluva lot less cute when you realise that everyone does it in the shrillest voice they can manage.

NaNoWriMo isn't being very nice to me. I did randomly come up with this during chemistry tutor, all logical explanations be damned. Not cut because it's only what...200 words? ETA: Cut after all, because then I started rambling. Uhm.

Click if you want to read a highly academic drabble about the detrimental effects that Stephanie Meyer has had on the perceival -- perceivement? -- of vampires in popular culture. Cough. )

Also.

Dear Melbourne weather, it is currently spring. I think. November in Australia = spring, right?

Anyway, it is spring, and therefore not summer. Ergo, what the hell do you think you're doing dragging the temperature to above 30 at this time of year? @.@

I don't care if it's technically not that hot, but it's proving to be a fire hazard and it's spring, god dammit.

Heavily paraphrased from an episode of Good News Week. Obligatory tv tropes warning, btw.

Anyway:

Some British comedian
I used to be a German teacher, myself.
They say a culture evolves from the culture from which it comes from.
That's true for german -- the verb comes at the end.

You don't know what the bastards are up to until it's too late.

They'll say 'I'll Poland to'

And once they get to 'invade', by then they'll be sitting pretty in Warsaw drinking coffee.

It is decently hard trying to find a review of Rose Chocolat. Which is quite sucky, because I've been in love with these shoes for about forever (I think I saw them in the [info]egl memories when I first joined or so.

At some point I was going to sit down and do something for NaNoWriMo. Started day November 5th, figured that seeing as how I started almost a week late I'd cheat and finish off a previous draft of a story that I've been tryin to get down on Microsoft Word paper for over a year now. Might be two. Egads. Anyway.

Word count two days ago: 2500~ish
Word count now: 3200~ish

Blasted osu! eating up all my time. And the heat. Wtf, Melbourne.

Wow, the heat really is melting my mind; I just squeed at seeing this.

Owowowow, stomache hurts. That's what happens when you have like...three slices of pizza and five glasses of milk within half an hour when you're not actually hungry. What? I like pizza, I like milk, I also like things in excess. Oh, and lotus seeds are yummy when they go crunch crunch crunch in your mouth. :3

Can't decide if I want to purchase the Borders hardbound copy of Hard Times, or just get the Penguins Edition version. I'll have to purchase the book anyway in some shape or form (it's on the reading list for next year), it's just which edition/publisher/etc do I want to go for. Penguins = lighter, cuter, and to a certain extent, I do want an entire row in my bookshelf filled with nothing but Penguins. But hardcovers make for brilliant bludgeoning weapons. :X

The problem with Borders is that everytime I go I want to purchase like fifty novels based purely on the title/front cover. And it's not like I read much these days, so don't have the foggiest idea when it comes to what is a 'good' book or not (although, oddly, the YA section seems to be flooded with vampire novels :X).

For the curious, Lincraft has changed their DK yarn range: it's now a lot softer (no longer that weird plastic feel) and the balls come in a smaller size. <3

@[info]kazikano, this may or may not be relevant to your interests -- the wigs, that is.

Also, I don't care what manner of combination of hoop skirts and petticoatsAP where using for their fashion parade in Paris, I swear their skirts can't get that shape through metal and tulle alone. There's no way their dresses have enough fabric ordinarily for them to acheive that epic a shape. No way. :X

(anyone who actually owns anything by AP, feel free to voice an opinion)

Studying in a panicked frenzy (lies, am currently procrastinating on the net :DDD) because hey! I have an exam IN THREE BLOODY DAYS. Two days in ten minutes, but minor detail, that.

Anyway, here's one of the questions from a VCAA Psychology Unites 3/4 exam (2004, exam two for those curious):

Q Punishment
a aims to remove desirable behaviours without necessarily replacing them with undesireable ones
b can lead to agressive behaviour
c should not be administered consistently and immediately for maximum effect
d does not lead to the reduction of undesirable behaviours

Answer for those struggling (which should be none of you TT.TT):
Punishment can lead to agressive behaviour

Geez. No shit, sherlock.

New bamboo fun tablet?.

Gotta say, aesthetically it doesn't do much for me. I can see how they've given it a more stream-;lined look, buuut....

It's just not cute. :X

RE: Kuroshitsuji's newest chapter

I love it when Toboso Yana reminds us all that Kuroshitsuji is, indeed, shounen.

Not really a post, more of something I found amusing.

JP exam -- there was a sentance that said 「音はすばらしかった」or something along those lines.

[info]mystik_silver translated this as 'sound was awesome'.

I decided to go with 'sounds were fabulous'.

Make of this what you will.

Sony's new PSP Go is ridiculously pretty. I'd buy it in an instant if I had the money and if it weren't for some little niggling issues:

1. It's not Nintendo. Not as big as in issue as it would have been in the past (this is all Atlus' fault, bloody Persona :X), but an issue nevertheless.
2. There is no UMD slot/thingamobob/weird little thing that pops open idk. Which means you pretty much have to DL games, and that seems like such a hassle. 'sides, I like having game cases lined up and collecting dust on my shelves.

As a side note (which very few people on my f-list will understand, I think): breeding pokeballs is fun.

Apparently Vampire Diaries is on TV at the same time at Good News Week? Not that I'm a Twatlight or anything, but if Vampire Diaries makes me laugh as hard as the ad did (and I quote: "cooler and edgier than Twilight"), it might turn out to be a decently lulzy show.

Everytime I see a loli meet post on [info]oz_lolita, a part of my brain goes, 'you know, maybe you should start participating'.

Keep in mind, it's the same part of my brain that tells me to do h/w. It's pretty much doomed to failure.

In other news:
=> It was raining Friday night at midnight. Anyone happen to watch the Midnight Channel?
=> Watching Inglourious Basterds made/makes me wish I chose to study French and German. French characters who speak French? NO WAI
=> Doing Japanese homework makes me which I chose French of German. Screw guarenteed 40 study score, I want my sanity back.
=> My mother's sewing machine is more temperamental than I am; trust me, this is an impressive feat. At some point, it decided to go, 'you know what, I know you're doing pintucks, and kind of want a straight line, but I think that zigzag stitch is so totally hot'. GAAAH.
=> I hate/love pintucks. Not hard just....patience-taking. :X

[info]kazikano, this may or may not be relevant to your interests. They are sure as hell relevant to mine.

Also, how does one get off tv tropes?

EDIT: Wtf, how do I forget to add the link; http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DracoInLeatherPants

Standard tv tropes warning apply, blah blah blah, I cbf doing html, etc.

Japanese at my school is ocassionally dull and grinding, but generally hilarious and made of fail. Or win, depending on how you see it.

Students: *writing a speed-through essay about weather on the various whiteboards that have slowly taked over the classroom*
Sensei: E-san, I do not want to read about how you feel.

Confused?
Weather: 天気
Health: 元気

Also of interest: everyone has heard of the I love Coles brand, no? Apparently they have caramel instant hot chocolates.

With 78 calories.

O.o

And it would make sense if you were meant to add milk, because that would certainly bump up the calorie count to something vaguely resembling normal (ie: edible/drinkable) hot chocolate, but the instructions say to add hot water.

O.o;;;;

It's things like this that make me wonder what manner of crap people put into instant soup, noodles, congee...

For the curious, I drank it anyway. It tastes like cocoa with an unpleasant burnt aftertaste. Try drinking with copious amounts of sugar, but it's fairly strong to begin with. orz
